Helva and her decision.

As we read in The Ship Who Sang, I found it very interesting that Helva decided not to stay on the Courviki planet. After thinking and discussing in class why she didn't stay it all started to make sense. As we talked about in class, well if she did stay there would be no ship, therefore would ruin the story, but also it is on a much deeper level. I was thinking about how weird it would be if i switched bodies with some but still had my same mind. I would never really feel like myself. I would be half someone else, which is the way I think Helva would feel. She is the ship and without it she just wouldnt be herself. It is what she knows and feels and really just who she is.
